Release Your Limitations by Mary-Morrissey

Richard Bach wrote a wonderful book called Illusions. It’s an allegory and in that book he tells the story of a handbook for the awakening soul; a person who is trying to awaken to the meaning and purpose of life.

There are several messages in the book but one stands out for me and I have always remembered it.

Richard writes this line: Argue for your limitations and sure enough they are yours.

Argue for your limitations and they are yours. If you think about what’s wrong and think about what’s missing that is your truth. Think about where you have a shortcoming and sure enough that is what gets to show up.

So when you find yourself being self-critical today just argue for the fact that God is with you. There’s a power and a presence that can help you if you let it. No more arguing for our limitations. Instead we are arguing for the power of God at work in our lives.

Many Blessings,

Mary
