How To Be A Guru
My son once asked me, “How do you get to be a guru?”
A guru is a Hindu term of high elevation of teaching and the ability to be a difference maker in people’s lives. This is similar to a reverend, a priest, or a rabbi.
There’s an interesting term for guru that I heard many years ago. This is the idea of discovering that there is a presence of God inside of us that we can turn to. We can actually have a personal guru, a personal connection to the great information system, the guidance, and the support of the Universe.
So, take the word guru and recognize the letters inside of it.
G. U. R. U. Gee, you are you.
God made you. God’s breathing you. You are a difference maker.
Be the YOU you are meant to be, and you’ll be the guru that helps others be themselves more fully.
